Over the years, we have witnessed the performance of
many after dinner speakers, and have generally been pleased with their
performance. Having said that, none of them have ever received a standing
ovation - which you did following your performance. Our senior Managers are from

personnel and, as you found, we have a 50:50 split of male and female staff.
Nevertheless, your comedy, without sexist, racist or religious overtones, kept

Our annual Dinner Dance last week was a great success -
in large part because of you. We asked you to be Master of Ceremonies and were
not disappointed. You managed, not only to provide one of the best stand-up
routines I have ever heard, but also managed to get us through the prize giving
(with all its usual chaos) and the raffle with the same wonderful sense of
humour which characterised the whole evening. You have set a new standard for
